æSowing WorldsÆ came into being as an interest in transformation and transition.
An interest in creating and holding room for feelings and emotions. A room for
leaving behind certain ways of being in the world and creating new ones. A room
for care for oneself and others. A wish for connection and complexity. For
planting a seed and letting it grow over time.
Sonically, the album focuses on merging electronic and acoustic sounds, played
and programmed, song and sound. Field recordings have been a focus both as a way
of creating a room as well as the source of the sound. Throughout the album
sounds of water, bats in the night, birds, double bass, violin, acoustic guitar,
synth, and modular synthesis are twisted and twined together. A phoenix
cyclically reborn in flames.
