G-Sav hails from South London and made his first appearance in 1991 on the UK rap compilation album ?Straight from the Underground" (Music Of
Life).? His song ?Straight from the Underground? was used as the albums title track and was subsequently released on single.? His second release
came a year later on a collaboration with the Jazz musicians The James Taylor Quartet. The track ?Killing Time" was featured on the acclaimed
Jazz artists Album ?Do your Thing? (Polydor Records) and led to the release of Killing Time as a 12? single with some very strong remixes.?
Following the release G-Sav toured the UK and Europe with the jazz quartet, performing at the Jazz Caf?, Forum, Milk Bar and The DMC
Championships in Holland.? G-Sav then signed with Acid Jazz records to release ?Accept it Like This? which garnered strong critical acclaim from
many music publications such as, Echoes, Blues n Soul and Hip-Hop Connection.? Fast-forward to 1998 and G-Sav released Dope Strategy, the first
release from UrbanGemz, as part of a rap production duo called ?Piece of Mind?.? The deep and socially conscience lyrics and overtones to the EP
garnered further critical acclaim for G-Sav. Currently, G-Sav is an integral part of UrbanGemz.? He has added music production to his list of
talents; having produced tracks on both the UG Album Sampler and the Off Da Block mix Cd. Not just being a premier Mc, G-Sav tackle?s the Video
Production chores for UrbanGemz, writes for Undercover magazine and presented a weekly radio show with Jay-L on Whoa 90.4fm. Having previously
released the EP, ILL GRAMMA G-Sav is currently putting the finishing touches to his as yet untitled Album.
