              █  █ Salmonella Dub seem to have dropped  █  █
              █  █ out of things in the past couple of  █  █
              █  █ years (for me I haven't been overly  █  █
              █  █ excited since 'Inside The Dub        █  █
              █  █ Plates' hit shelves, which was       █  █
              █  █ 2001), and this is their second      █  █
              █  █ 'remix' album in a row (2004's Mercy █  █
              █  █ featured a few new tracks, but       █  █
              █  █ couldn't be considered a new album). █  █
              █  █                                      █  █
              █  █ While they donÆt seem to be on the   █  █
              █  █ forefront of New Zealand music like  █  █
              █  █ they did back in 2001, listening to  █  █
              █  █ the tracks from this album serves as █  █
              █  █ a good reminder of the work they     █  █
              █  █ have done and how, in many ways,     █  █
              █  █ they opened ears up for the          █  █
              █  █ dub/electronica/roots movement that  █  █
              █  █ would give light to other bands like █  █
              █  █ Trinity Roots, Katchafire, Kora, The █  █
              █  █ Black Seeds, and even the all        █  █
              █  █ conquering Fat Freddy's Drop. Those  █  █
              █  █ bands would have probably got        █  █
              █  █ airplay in the long run anyway, but  █  █
              █  █ the Dub really opened people's       █  █
              █  █ minds. After the Dub got going,      █  █
              █  █ people started to realise that there █  █
              █  █ was more to NZ music than 'Dave      █  █
              █  █ Dobbyn' and 'The Exponents'.         █  █
              █  █                                      █  █
              █  █ 'Drifting' and 'The Bromley East     █  █
              █  █ Roller' feature on this album in     █  █
              █  █ their original state, which is a     █  █
              █  █ good thing. 'Drifting' is such a     █  █
              █  █ mezmorising track, and 'The          █  █
              █  █ Bromleya' is so fierce that doing    █  █
              █  █ anything to these tracks would risk  █  █
              █  █ ruining them.                        █  █
