     One of the most popular new wave bands of the early 80's, the British group
     ABC built upon the detached, synthesized R&B pop of David Bowie and Roxy
     Music, adding a self-conscious, campy sense of theatrics and style. Under
     the direction of vocalist Martin Fry, the group scored several catchy,
     synth-driven dance-pop hits in the early '80s, including "Poison Arrow",
     "Look Of Love", and "Be Near Me".

     "Tears Are Not Enough" was the group's debut single, released in October
     1981 on 7" and 12" vinyl. The two single versions of the song are both
     different from the version on their debut studio album, "The Lexicon Of
     Love" from 1982. Also the B-side "Alphabet Soup" appear here in a special
     7" edit not available on neither the original album or the 2004 deluxe
     edition. Originally produced by Steve Brown, both tracks was later remixed
     for the album by Trevor Horn.
