Straight out the pan and into the fire, this double header
from Loefah and Coki is primed and ready to take your head
off - scorching a trail across the stylus and tumbling out
of the bass bins with something beyond urgency. As always
within the evolving dubstep firmament, this 12" from Medi
sees a new brace of sounds being mixed into the sonorous
crucible - kicking off on the A with Loefah's 'Disko
Rekah'. Bleached to its core then slowly fleshed out with
a rumbling low end, 'Disko Rekah' uses its clipped MC
samples to perfection - dropping them in wantonly as the
mood and heat slowly jacks up. Footloose yet crackingly
focused, Loefah once again proves why he is such a name to
be reckoned with. Flip the plate and Coki will welcome you
in, creating a cavernous environment in which to introduce
creepy melodies and some throbbing bass that takes on an
almost hypnotic quality through the dipping route to your
ears. Nice.
