interested in just learning more about MATERIAL and TEXTURE creation using
SOFTIMAGE|XSI and Adobe« Photoshop«.
This new volume is more than 15 (FIFTEEN) HOURS long, and consists of a
self-paced project based training course consisting of 14 modules and 118
video lectures! The purpose of this series is to introduce you to essential
MATERIAL and TEXTURE creation and workflow.
In Production Solutions and Tips, Series 2, Volume 2, Bernard Lebel will
show you how to create MATERIALS and TEXTURES using Adobe« Photoshop« and
SOFTIMAGE|XSI for wide range of scene objects that have been included within
this comprehensive project based lesson.
In this first part of this new volume, you will learn the importance of
pre-lighting your scene for purposes of texturing and Bernard will show you
many helpful tips and tricks. You will learn how to pre-light a character as
well as the scene exterior, and interior.
Remember that you can't create proper looking materials and textures unless
your scene is lit properly to begin with!
Bernard will show you some cool techniques for doing this and also how you
can use his light tools plug-in to speed up your entire lighting workflow.
Next, Bernard will introduce you to Adobe« Photoshop« CS and familiarize you
with the most common tools you will use when preparing, creating and editing
images for purposes of 3d texturing.
