Nottingham-based Lanowa has been one of Citizens of Vice's most
reliable producers since joining the popular imprint in 2020. Here he
returns to the label with his fifth single. It's an expansive and
action-packed affair, with the East Midlander first shuffling through
warming, tactile and Balearic-tinged mid-tempo house on the brilliant
'Slow Flow', before opting for a similar pace and vibe on summery
vocal number 'Just Say'. Elsewhere, 'Strong' is a throbbing nu-disco
number that doffs a cap to both Italo-disco and freestyle, while 'I
Don't Mind Romancing' is a thickset, bass-heavy house number smothered
in effects-laden trumpet solos. Finally, Gus Patterson remixes 'Slow
Flow', turning it into a sparkling, piano-powered early evening
delight.
