Formed in 2009, the group Dode scours the festivals (including a notable
appearance at the Francofolies de La Rochelle in 2011), where its electric
energy and its crafted lyrics hit the mark. Originally from
Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, one foot on the North American continent to the sound
of ethereal guitars and the rock of the great outdoors, the other well anchored
in French culture, lulled by the words of LΘo FerrΘ or Baudelaire (their first
album The Dancing Snake repeats passages from Flowers of Evil), the group
proudly claims its dual influence. Result: a pure condensation of French rock,
evoking Hubert-FΘlix ThiΘfaine and Noir DΘsir, carried by the gravelly and
incandescent voice of ╔ric Dodeman. Three albums are available to explore the
breadth of its universe, but it is above all on stage that the group reveals all
its captivating strength (which culminates with the intense and hypnotic
Married).
