Release Notes:

Dr. John was the real thing and not a dabbler in the dark arts
like, say, the Rolling Stones during that band's late-1960s
'Sympathy For the Devil' era. He absorbed all the voodoo
influences first-hand during a bohemian childhood spent in his
birthplace New Orleans. He understood voodoo, as he himself once
explained: "One thing I always did was believe. I used to play
gigs for the Gris-Gris Church. I dug the music and that's what I
was trying to capture."
