Release Notes

TynovA and Kwest were both born and raised in Ithaca, NY, and have been friends
since the age of 12. Losing aqcuaintance throughout the years, they renewed
their friendship during their senior year of high school in Ithaca, and set in
motion plans to eventually start a hip hop coalition. In September of 2005
TynovA approached Kwest with the news: the time had come for work on the debut
LP to begin.
While TynovA and Kwest don't appear to meet society's "typical" rap stereotypes,
this is exactly what sets them apart. They both realize that ethnicity, age,
gender, religion and any other classification should have no bearing on a
person's abilities in society. Through their lyrics they express their overall
disdain for haters, doubters, racists and sucker MC's, while narrating their
inner thoughts in a socially conscious manner.
With heavy production from TynovA's lifelong friend, St. Louis/Ithaca based Big
E, the two 20 year-old MC's have an atypical soundtrack on which to spit their
knowledge. Heavy strings and sinister snares blend with hard kicks and ear
numbing brass to produce anything but your ordinary hip-hop album. Additional
production is supplied by renowned producer SetaFlame and TynovA himself. NovA
also mixes and edits all of the duo's tracks on his own.
The debut LP "From Lenox To Lake" features guest appearances by Rocky Ramsey
(Paterson, NJ/Ithaca, NY) and Ghost Runner (Ithaca, NY) along with Big E and
Mauri Roberts (St. Louis, MO). The album also features vocals from singer Dani
Halton (Ithaca, NY).
