| X | Hannu Nieminen aka DJ Ender started DJ'ing in the late eighties | X |
| X | when the first wave of Acid House hit Finland. In a classic DIY | X |
| X | spirit he quickly took to organizing warehouse-parties. | X |

| X | Few years later legendary Club Deep followed, setting standards | X |

| X | come a long way as a producer as well. Teaming up with Marko L. | X |
| X | he founded Function Recordings in 1995 that would serve as an | X |
| X | alternative forum for Finnish instrumental electronic music. | X |

| X | In 1998 Nuspirit Helsinki, an unorthodox collective of musicians | X |
| X | and DJs, masterminded by Ender and Tuomas K, was formed. Since | X |
| X | it's first release on Guidance-label it has successfully sought | X |
| X | new musical frontiers in the forefront of the nu-jazz scene. | X |

| X | Lately, besides his remixes for labels such as Perfect Toy and | X |
| X | Nuevo Ritmo, Ender has found time to experiment with new material | X |
| X | as well. On this project, titled hannulelauri he is teaming-up | X |
| X | with his dj colleague, Lauri Soini. So far they have done few | X |
| X | successful festival and club gigs in Finland. First hannulelauri | X |
| X | releases can be expected to see daylight in the near future. | X |

| X | Lauri Soini has a creative and musical background. Although at | X |
| X | the same time when his mother wanted him to take violin lessons, | X |
| X | he was more interested in computers. Meanwhile he also managed to | X |
| X | study in an art school. | X |

| X | When dad was listening his Stevie Wonder records, I bet he didn't | X |
| X | expect to see me playing the very same vinyl years after in a | X |
| X | club to young people. | X |
| X | | X |
| X | The real passion for electronic music hit Lauri in the year 1990 | X |
| X | when he heard house mixes for the first time. | X |
| X | | X |
| X | Those new sounds took me quickly into different electronic styles | X |
| X | from deep to more intense stuff. Thanks to Gilles Peterson's A | X |
| X | Thing Called Jazz radio program back then I became also familiar | X |
| X | with all kinds of fresh music influenced strongly by jazz and | X |
| X | soul. | X |

| X | Somewhere in the mid-nineties Lauri started to produce his own | X |
| X | material and also began Dj'ing more seriously. At that time his | X |
| X | selection included mainly techno, but also deep house records. | X |

| X | Chain Reaction and Maurizio -style techno had a great impact on | X |
| X | me then and they still inspire me a lot. | X |

| X | Since then Lauri has been playing records at various events all | X |
| X | around. Apart from DJ'ing you could find his DJ-sets and tracks | X |
| X | being played by national radio stations. Recently Lauri did come | X |
| X | up with a few very appreciated solo live performances. | X |

| X | Lauri's musical style as a DJ can be shortly described as deep | X |
| X | dance music with influences from everything. He did gain some | X |
| X | respect with house mixes before, but shortly after 2002 he moved | X |
| X | more into jazz and bossa material that turned out to be very | X |
| X | refreshing change for dance floors. | X |

| X | Besides my eclectic musical style, places where I like to perform | X |
| X | vary from cozy lounge rooms and clubs to trashy bars and | X |
| X | sometimes quite heavy underground events and outdoor festivals. | X |

| X | Currently Lauri spends his time collecting records and performing | X |
| X | in various locations besides working in the studio and having | X |
| X | busy time in a day job. | X |

| X | As a DJ my personal challenge, which sometimes might seem never | X |
| X | ending, is to surprisingly dig out all good records in the world. | X |

| X | A turning point for us was our live session in June in Koneisto | X |

| X | solo. Somehow I suggested that we should perform our unfinished | X |
| X | tracks in few weeks to live audience, which turned out to be just | X |
| X | what we needed, a hurried deadline. | X |

| X | During the summer 2006 they managed to perform live in three main | X |
| X | electronic music festivals arranged in Finland: Koneisto, UMF and | X |
| X | Flow Festival (along with artists such as Moodymann, UR, Aril | X |
| X | Brikha, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, me and Legowelt). | X |
