- Release Notes ------------------------------------------------------------- -
Hot rockin' Arkansas combo Gossip have been dishing up crankin' garage-punk
for some time now, but with the single 'Standing In The Way Of Control' Beth
Ditto and co delivered equal parts sultry blues hollering and no-wave
revivalism, a thrillingly refreshing blend of their love of dancing, art and
punk history that captured the imagination of the nation, and helped their
album of the same name become the word-of-mouth success of 2006. Having
burrowed into the nations consciousness thanks to E4 program 'Skins',
'Standing In The Way Of Control' has now become a bona fide chart hit,
calling for this re-issue.
