Basia is set to release her debut album on Rough
Trade 'Oh My Darling' on April 30th. Basia hails
from the forest city of London, Ontario outside
Montreal and recorded her album in the studio,
(Montreal's Hotel 2 Tango studio) and with the
engineer (Howard Bilerman) with whom Arcade Fire
            recorded 'Funeral'.

Her songs are infused with sweet ragtime piano
            melodies, tender-hearted string arrangements, and
a voice that has been compared to Elyse Weinberg
and Leslie Feist. Together with her backing band,
Basia has begun bringing her unique blend of folk
and chamber pop to audiences across Canada and
she'll be coming over to play her first shows in
the UK in March. More details as soon as we have
            them.
