David Starfire is a passionate Produce/DJ that lives in Los Angeles and a
producer of varying styles from dance to rock to hip hop to bhangra and
everything in between. Some of the top DJ's are spinning out his original songs
and remixes as well as being played on popular shows like the BBC1 Radio shows
Bobby & Nihal and Friction and XM radio. He has performed at festivals such as
Coachella, Electric Picnic, Love Parade, Burning Man, Earthdance and Shambhala.
His DJ sets have been rumored to cause earthquakes in California with his sonic
bass frequencies and he consistently takes music to the next level.

PRODUCER/WRITER/PERFORMER
David has written and produced songs on several CD compilations such as S Guaro
(15,000 copies), Craig's List "Casual Encounters" (featuring artists Mark Farina
and Miguel Migs), Lonely Planet "Passport..." (20,000 copies, featuring artists
Michael Franti, Karsh Kale) and also the upcoming LoPro Lounge mix CD. He's
written songs for video games such as X-Box 360 game Amped 3 (3 songs),
Ubisoft's America's Army: Rise of A Soldier. Was a featured artist on the Red
Bull "Ascension" CD compilations for 2005 and 2006. The song "Waffler" is
included on a promotional DVD for Red Bull used throughout the world at various
nightclubs. He has also written and produced songs that are credited on TV and
cable programs like ESPN2, Fox Sports, MTV, MTV2, Fuse, Showtime, HBO and films
such as Shadowed Love and the critically acclaimed short Rabbit of the
Apocalypse. He co-wrote/produced the 12" of the industrial dance song
"Radiation", which was on the national top 20 independent dance charts. He has
collaborated with artists MC 900 Ft Jesus, Information Society and members of
Beck. As a live performer he has opened shows for NIN, Meat Beat Manifesto,
Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Sophie B. Hawkins, The Tragically Hip, Vertical Horizon
and at was hired to play keyboards for Information Society for their retro tour.
Currently he is working on his full length CD that should be finished by fall
2006.

DJ
This summer, David was a headliner at the Shambhala festival in Canada,
showcased at the Venice, Italy film festival and spun at the Electric Picnic
festival (Ireland). He performed in the Oasis Dome to a packed crowd at
Coachella in 2005 (100,000 in attendance) and 2006 (120,000 in attendance). He
rocked a set on the Xingolati groove cruise featuring acts like The Flaming Lips
and Medeski, Martin and Wood. He also performed at the large scale Alex Grey
fundraiser in Los Angeles in 2005. In Jan 2004, he was the first American
Breakbeat DJ to complete a successful DJ club tour throughout India and
performed in Bombay, Chenni, Goa and several other cities. He's shared the bill
with the Freestylers, FreQ Nasty, Krafty Kuts, Karsh Kale, Adam Freeland,
Hybrid, SOTEG, Dimitri, Meat Katie, Elite Force, Tipper, Uberzone, Future Funk
Squad, Lawgivers, Lee Coombs and many more. He has spun at Burning Man (over
35,000 in attendance) the last few years which have included DJ's such as
Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Sandra Collins and countless others. He has also
performed at other festivals such as Earthdance LA 2004/2005, Ascension SF
2004/LA 2005, Oracle Gathering 2005 Seattle and Decompression Party for Burning
Man in SF/LA the past few years. He performed at the first American "Love
Parade" in San Francisco with 37,000 in attendance in 2004 and again in 2005
(75,000 attendance) performing on the infamous Magic Bus both years. David was a
featured DJ on the XM satellite station "The Move" (channel 80) on the Thump
Radio show, hosted by DJ Fiddler. He is currently a resident of the Space Island
crew in Los Angeles, which throws the best underground parties in southern
California.

LABEL OWNER
Starfire Records was formed in 2001 and had national distribution through
Navarre. The label focused on live/electronica acts from Japan, Hawaii, Dallas,
San Francisco and Los Angeles. Several songs from the artists were placed in
many TV shows feature films and was a favorite on college radio. (The label is
currently on hiatus till a new distribution deal is signed).

PROMOTER
David was the music coordinator for the Red Bull Ascension event in Los Angeles
in 2005 and associate promoter for Earthdance LA 2004/2005. He was the Soma
Magazine resident DJ/music director/producer for their elite parties who have
included Jerry Bonham and Grant Plant from 1998-2001. He was also the resident
DJ and main producer of the famous monthly Decadence parties at Club Six in San
Francisco in 1998-2000. He was the producer/music director for many large events
such as the launch party for American McGee's Alice video game (Electronic
Arts). He was also the music director for the ChoiceRadio.com electronica music
station (streaming on the web) from 2000-2002 and help selected the play list.
He was hired by Emuzed multimedia company provide music for their website,
multimedia promos and conventions.
