With Computer Incarnations For World Peace JAZZANOVA present a selection of song
gems from the new wave era. The new compilation which JAZZANOVA member ALEX
BARCK has put together with GERD JANSON (Running Back Rec.) is well in keeping
with the J-tradition. The focus here is on the early 80s, the years 1981 and
1982 in particular. This was an extremely exciting phase for production
technology as sampler and computers û which are a central part of any sound
studio today - where starting to be used for the first time. Many of the tracks
here originate from a new wave context but there are also pieces of 1920s jazz
as well as French jazz-fusion... So the compilation fits the JAZZANOVA pattern.
The obvious big names have been left out and instead some rare almost forgotten
tunes have been brought back into daylight. Featuring PROPAGANDA / SPECIAL TOUCH
/ RAY BARETTO / JEANLUC PONTY / AKSAK MABOUL / THE FIXX / COLOURED MUSIC / CODEK
/ WILL POWERS / BRIAN BIGGS / TALKING DRUMS a.m.m., many of which first time on
CD!!! Also available on double vinyl!
