Time for the 4th instalment of our rapidly expanding Colour Series Compilations
where we round up the years biggest hitters from the catalogue, chuck in some
scorching exclusives and Bobs your uncle ! All tracks have been left in their
full, unedited, 12 inch glory and are unmixed, making the CD a much more DJ
friendly package than your average 400 tracks per side comp!
Freerange regulars like Shur-I-kan, Square One and Audiomontage nestle in
amongst Black Joy, Random Factor, Brett Johnson and Kirk Degiorgio showing the
full spectrum of house sounds you?ve come to expect from Freerange. Remixes from
Solid Groove, Justin Martin, Spirit Catcher and Jimpster give you a good idea of
the kind of quality we're talking about.
The exclusive tracks we have selected include Sean O Keefe (of 2 Bad Mice fame -
yeah thats Bomb Scare!) providing an amazing jazz house track under his Shimiko
guise.
Brett Johnson goes bleepy and twisted like only he can, the result is a fidgety
Chicago groove entitled Hot Potato.
Winding things down a bit Black Joy gives us his first new original material
since La Stache in the form of The Bears which is a beautifully deep mutant
discoid production which oozes with funk.
Finally, Carl Finlow aka Random Factor contributes a majestic electronic
masterpiece entitled Spectra.
Sublime and emotive stuff which reminds us of why we got into electronic music
in the first place!
