Release Notes:

My Driving Silence is the first installment in a series of computer-generated
albums that will soon follow. ItÆs the product of the last nine months of my
life and my new found love of digital music programming. I started with over 70
songs and have slowly narrowed it down to 12 of my favorites. These songs are
who I am and what I want to hear.

ôI guess I donÆt listen to electronic music much. Not that it bores me or
anything, itÆs more that I find myself comparing what I do to other peoples work
and I donÆt like that. I find it affects my creativity when I start hearing and
thinking about what other people do. I donÆt care what other people do. I do
what I do. And that is what I do. I feel IÆm in a constant state of improving.
IÆm not satisfied with where I am as a songwriter. In fact, I donÆt even
consider myself to be a songwriter. I consider myself to be some guy who gets
sonically fortunate with a palette of musical notes. I find it taxing to listen
to my songs because I cut it down the whole time. I always feel like I could
have done better with any piece of my work. When IÆm writing I never get to the
point in a song where I say 'thatÆs it, thatÆs the song'. Rather, I get to the
point where I realize that further rework will only cause the song to
deteriorate.ö
