DIALIS is Emil Spleen (Bass/Vocals) Julian Fade
(Guitar/keyboard/backing vocals) and Gabriel Straw (Drums). From Italy,
is formed around the middle of 2005 by Emil and Julian, together with
Julians university friend, Gabriel. The following months the three
incessantly dedicate to the writing and the arrangement of the songs,
producing material for at least two complete albums. For the writing of
their songs, the guys isolate themselves completely from the world,
often closing themselves in a house lost in the middle of the
countryside, accompanied only by their instruments and by the necessary
provisions.
Dialis music has a strong melodic component, inspired by the
brit-pop-rock and by the acoustic sonorities of the first half of the
90s, but what characterizes and gives it a very original character is
how it is mixed to the Dark and New-Wave influences of the '80s,
creating a mix able to give a dark atmosphere to the songs, but sweet
and dreamy at the same time.
One of the most greater objectives of the band is to try always to be
personal and original in their compositions, and this happens also
thanks to Emil's lyrics, compiled in a form hardly referable to the
rock tradition. Lyrics rarely autobiographic, inspired by a deep
reflection on the human condition.
Given the particularity of the style and of the influences of the band,
their music succeeds in reaching fans of also very different genres,
such as pop-rock, goth, shoegaze and metal.
NJOY!
