Under the counter issue of two mixes of the late great Mr. Arthur
Russell.
The first is the full-length Walter Gibbons mix which while once a
great lost classic (appearing on a promo by Talking Loud in 1996
with only a hundred copies or so made) has now been issued
elsewhere by Soul Jazz on their essential "World Of.." compilation.
The second has been credited to Mr. K himself. While we can't put
our finger on the original pressing, Danny does claim a 1997 mix of
the track in his biography. Its less abstract, more 4 to the floor
and certainly worth a listen.
Not the greatest vinyl pressing but since the mix credited to
Krivit here hasn't seen the light in a while, we thought you
wouldn't mind.
