Jacques Renault (Editions Disco) and Marcos Cabral are Runaway, a
pair of Brooklynite DJs whose first joint release is this
doubleheader of Metro disco deviations on My Cousin Roy's Wurst
Edits. "Shadows" features classic disco strings, loose bass and
snatches of proper knees up party vocals, but all the elements have
been spun around in one of those salad dryer contraptions, leading
to mucho disruption at the other end. "Ain't Afraid To Beg" begins
with a seriously harmful bass quaver, percussion and choral vocals,
which build up over several temperature raising phases.
