Release Notes:
POLA is based in Catania, Italy featuring a collaboration of several musicians
and singers. Tazio Iacobacci is the principal composer began in the early æ90Æs
as a drummer for 'Keen Toy. Tazio has composed music for a number of movies
including ôLuna DÆagostoö a work by Fabrizio Bordignone Franco Conte and ôEppure
Europaö by Paola Greco e Davide Crimi. In November of 2001 his composition for
sextet ôRachelö was selected for the Contemporary Music Festival in Rovereto
performed by the ôRenato Dionisiö chamber ensemble. Tazio has also created
soundtracks for Italian dance-theatre performances like ôDie Mauer û il Muroö by
Valeria Geremia and ô4 Caminosö by Motomimetico, performed in Catania and Rome
in the winter 2002. In the 2003 Tazio composed music for the International
festival ôMappeö and for ôSvendita Fallimentareö by MajazΦ.
Other projects have included 1.) ôSongs for Ulanö an electro-acoustic project by
Pietro de Cristofaro signed to Stout Music, remixing ôIn codaö a Cesare BasileÆ
single for Mescal label 2.) 'Tellaro', a slow-core band signed to 2nd Records,
based in Hamburg 3.) Feldmann, with Massimo Ferrarotto (Puertorico-Loma). 2006
marks their first Lp will released on StoutMusic/Shinseiky.
