The Sam Isaac show often resembles an indie cottage
industry, according to my friend neil who wears trendy
jumpers. My friends make artwork, do recording, direct
music videos and don clipboards. Perfect strangers sell my
cds. I really really like making some music and touring
the country with a nodding dog called Dora and in a broken
ford fiesta called Regina. Sometimes I perform. It
depends. Occasionally the Happy Hands Club join me and we
make much louder versions of my music.
I can be persuaded to do 'living room gigs,' whereby I
will drive to strangers' houses and sing some songs to
them in the comfort of their own home. If this sounds like
a fun activity that you and your friends would like to get
involved in, perhaps at some kind of social function of
some sort like a party, just give me a message and ask.
I'll more than likely say yes.
If you ever get near me, i will probably cojole you into
doing me a favour. I can't help it.
The "Sticker, Star and Tape" mini album was independently
released on January 22nd 2007 with help from the Little
Hellfire Club Label. I toured for about 8 weeks straight,
including 5 with the splendid Luke Leighfield. It was as
epic as it sounds.
In June 2006 I drove around at high speeds for two weeks
and played lots of shows. I had much fun and met some
lovely people. I also slept in the car park of the M4
westbound Reading Service station to celebrate the tour's
completion. This was all in support of the individually
numbered, limited edition "Compass Scattered Love EP", my
debut release in June 2006 on Back2Forward Records.
Unfortunately, that's now sold out. Unless loads of cats
beg me for some to be re-pressed.
