Pandamonium and label founder Norma Jean have both been quiet as of
late but in the late 90s they put together a deliciously chilled
house with the spotlight on NJB's sweet sax and vocal stylings.
Some of the Panadmonium cuts received wider exposure on KDJ, Fnac,
Funky Chocolate and Peacefrog releases.
On PR 16, K. Hand takes the controls on a track written by Billy Lo
that evokes the NJ garage sound with gospel feeling over minimal
but strong bass and beats and simple piano elements. Beats take
the front on Tk 1 with the disco pulse and a bit of Bohannon on the
breaks. For later in the evening, Tk 2 is led by the bass and
dubbed vocals. Last but not least, Tk 3 (far too short an
instrumental) brings the Detroit sound (are you sure KDJ didn't
drop in?).
