gran riserva is the second album from viennese duo dzihan &
kamien, whose imprint couch records brought the world their debut
set freaks & icons in 2000. recorded in vienna, london, istanbul
and tuscany, gran riserva servers up a dramatic evolution of their
style - it takes d&k onto a level of sophistication as they
continue to search for the perfect blend of cool jazz, dancefloor
grooves, eastern spices and souther warms.
two years ago in vienna, dzihan & kamien started organising couch
night as exchange of musical portofolio's amongst themselves and
some of their highly appreciated colleagues. the fifth edition has
taken place on 28th september 2002 in vienna's porgy & bess, the
dzihan & kamien presented gran riserva live, supported by very
special guests.
