arch_typ's (aka charles noel, monochrome, archetype, arch tight,
arch typ, etc) musical journey can be traced back to the early
90's, when he, along with titonton duvante, todd sines, mike
szewczyk started 'body release', a band known for its fresh
low-bit breaks dipped in lush melodies.
during this time, he also founded 2122 corporation, releasing
multiple singles and eps featuring artists like dan curtin,
titonton, todd sines and marc mac. then in 1995, charles releases
"reconnaissance," under the monochrome alias, considered one of
the first u.s. jungle eps released. his musical journey continues
with a slew of deep techno releases with live performances on a
global scale, from tokyo to barcelona to nyc.
his current work presents a unique blend of dnb, detroit techno
and west london broken beat. considered by his peers as one of the
leading future music producers in nyc, archetypÆs music can be
heard from influential labels such as moonstarrÆs public transit
records, cookin and more.
