The Troublemakers invaded the international electro scene
in 2000 with a remarkable first album "Doubts and
Convictions". It was so successful that Blue Note signed
them up to release their second adventure "Express Way".
The duo of Lionel Corsini and Arnaud Taillefer hail from
Marseille, where Lionel grew up surrounded by the records
his Dad played as one of the main DJ's in town. He soon
became DJ Oil himself, known for sets of music made out of
funk, jazz, rhythm'n blues, hip hop, latino, electro and
acid jazz. Arnaud is a great movie buff and a fan of jazz
and blues soundtracks. His interests are wide and he
transforms whatever he touches with a musician's touch;
he's the guitarist and bass player but also the graphic
designer of the band. Their influences are indeed varied,
presenting bewitching set here that will take you into a
movie universe tainted by 70's flavours.
