█ decade we have D. L. Johnson. With the rough yet █
█ hypnotic beats by Tizone, and the smooth vocals █
█ of D. L. creates a street yet sultry sound. █
█ Raised on the south side of Chicago, D. L. knew █
█ he was destined to be a star, and would let ôno █
█ oneö tell him anything different from what he █
█ believed. As a kid growing up in a poor █
█ environment, he saw a lot of things that he vowed █
█ he would change. From living in poverty to seeing █
█ his family struggle, he was determined to make a █
█ change and break the generational cycle. By █
█ listening to such influences as Michael Jackson, █
█ Prince, The Bee Gees, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, █
█ Phil Collins, and others he began to develop a █
█ variety of styles and taking what they have █
█ brought to the industry and fusing it with █
█ himself. HeÆs created a sound that will last a █
█ lifetime! While on the journey, faith brought him █
█ together with super producer and Recording Artist █
█ Tizone (Lil Bud & Tizone). They met through a █
█ mutual friend and from that point on it was █
█ history. Tizone saw determination and potential █
█ in this future star. When we first met, I saw so █
█ much drive and determination in him. I knew that █
█ I had a diamond that needed to be polished,ö are █
█ the words of Tizone. From that point D. L. worked █
█ with Tizone on the ôArt of Making Recordsôand █
█ performing in a studio as well as in front of a █
█ live audience. After that he began working with █
█ one of the greatest vocal coaches in music, Dr. █
█ Lena McLin (R.Kelly, Chaka Khan, and Mark B. █
█ Rucker). With vocal development, song writing, █
█ studio, and live performances, D. L. started his █
█ quest to take on the industry. █
