         Nine very passionate songs from this short-lived
         Texas DIY band. They had a few releases on Friends
         Forever, including a one-sided LP with a
         silkscreened b-side. There are only 10 copies of
         this CD in existence, so consider yourself
         extremely lucky to be hearing this. Members went on
         to form The Walls You've Built. These guys are not
         the most talented muscicians or vocalists, but the
         pure emotion they express, and the community they
         seek to build through it is nothing short of the
         true spirit of punk rock. The one-sided LP comes
         with a letter written by a friend about the band. I
         think it sums them up well.

         "Dear friends Brent, David & John. It speaks
         volumes of your impact here in Houston that so many
         people would fill such a small house to see you one
         last time. Every room was packed. Kids were lined
         up the staircase & watching through the windows
         from outside that chilly october night. Things will
         not be the same without you here & there is truly a
         void that will remain unfilled in your absence. But
         as everyone showed on that fateful autumn night,
         Burned Out Bright was (is) more than a bunch of
         notes & chords & screams. It's something more
         meaningful than that. Something that won't be
         forgotten so easily.

         There is no way that this record could ever truly
         capture your passion & intensity both as people &
         as a band. But we hope it comes close."
