Mathematics has a 50s Hank Williams feel meeting the likes
of celestial folk of The Magic Numbers. Opening to
xylophone chimes and violins, Cherry Ghost╞s vocals have a
distinctly British feel. With Elvis Costello-esque guitars
and delicate backing vocals, Mathematics will be a hit
with the fans of folk rock meets 50s rock-pop.
A sweet little debut from the Bolton born Simon Aldred but
even whilst possessing the haunting feel of Sparklehorse,
I doubt it will make a dent on the charts in the same as
the likes of any of the above.
