Detroit native Marvin Belton has been part of the Detroit music
scene for many years. Marvin was lead vocalist for two DETROIT
local bands MEGA-BYTE and PSYFUNK. In the fall of 2001, MARVIN met
SCOTT FERGUSON in WINDSOR, ONTARIO at an apartment party, during
which they talked music, while enjoying a bottle of scotch wiskey.
SCOTT invited MARVIN and VINCENT HALLIBURTON to come check out some
of the music he was working on and planning to release on a new
lable he was starting called FERRISPARK. Marvin being a writer,as
well as, a vocalist was enlisted to write and perform in
collabarate with Scott Ferguson. Their first published work was
"BLEED TO BE FREE" and "FEELIN GOOD".
IN 2004, Marvin lent his vocals to BACK IN THE MIDDLE, which he
sings with female vocalist MIYON BRYANT written by MONICA LOCKETT,
who goes under the name DJ GENESIS. MARVIN performed "BACK IN THE
MIDDLE" with MYION BRYANT at 2003 DEMF TECHNO-FEST and in 2004 THE
MOVEMENT in DETROIT. In 2004, MARVIN worked with THEO PARRISH
lending his voice to MR. PARRISH'S single "NATRALLY," which is
featured on his album "THE ROTATION ASSEMBLY."
"Bleed to Be Free" is an emotional slowburner of a track with a
great vocal performance. "Feelin' Good" moves the crowd in both
the K. Kemp and S. Ferguson flavours.
