Scott Ferguson launched Ferrispark Records in October of 2001 with
the pressing of five hundred copies of the Dump Days E.P. The title
track Dump Days echoed in warehouses and clubs around the world,
slowly becoming a underground classic. After falling into the hands
of Dj Hell and another to Doc Martin, it was licensed by Gigolo
Records and Classic Music Company. Finally established as a
producer, it was clear that innovation and uniqueness were to be
the hallmarks of Scott Ferguson and Ferrispark Records.
Gnosis definitely bears the influence of Theo Parrish (Scott's not
shy about giving much love to the main D cats, check his myspace
page). The two mixes of "Q" both contain strange, hollow drum loops
alternating lazy percussion for ethnic cries. On track 3, the
continuation of the Theme Music series, Scott explores a new
analogue sound that wouldnt be out of place on Environ or Balihu
and last but not least track 4 is an ultra deep re-edit of a
Mochico track.
