Erik Rug is a veteran of the French House scene who started his
career in 1989, deejaying at the "Locomotive" (Paris) with a young
beginner: Laurent Garnier. He is the resident DJ at "Mad" and "Rex
Club".
Following Erik Rug's original version of "Tribute To My People"
(LDT001) and its dark electric disco rap vibe, come these slamming
nu funk remixes by L'Aroye & Ky. L'Aroye, producer of the classic
broken soul number "Be The One (feat. Humphrey)" (Faces records,
2004) and his partner in crime Ky aka Romain the keyboard wizard,
re-wrote the track keeping the original rap performed by Dynamax
(of the Zulu nation - Bronx) and adding a funky electro boogie
beat, synth strings, piano bit, childrens choir and MORE of that
cowbell.
