Scott Ferguson launched Ferrispark Records in October of 2001 with
the pressing of five hundred copies of the Dump Days E.P. The title
track Dump Days echoed in warehouses and clubs around the world,
slowly becoming a underground classic. After falling into the hands
of Dj Hell and another to Doc Martin, it was licensed by Gigolo
Records and Classic Music Company. Finally established as a
producer, it was clear that innovation and uniqueness were to be
the hallmarks of Scott Ferguson and Ferrispark Records.
On the fourth release A1 is a loping groover highlighted by the
crazy keyboards from Phillip Hale (check the solo at the end!)
while the mix on A2 adds a bit of lowdown swagger. B1 brings the
third installment of the Theme Music series (from Scott's
comprehensive podcasts we found out the alternate title is "The
Only One") and its a jazzy smash that slowly metamorphs into a
signature groove. Finally B2 aka "The Black Panther Party"
continues Scott's series of social commentary tracks over a sparse
percussion and warm bass backing.
