    │release notes.

After many years spent holding the bass guitar for the Slow Slushy
Boys, a band that still plays today one of the best R'n'B in France
and worldwide, Dan Electro takes inspiration in the universe of
masters of genius like Louis Jordan, Eddie Kirk, Arthur Alexander,
Boots Brown or The Five Royales, and the barefoot gospel divas like
Sister Rosetta Tharpe or Winona Carr. Since then, he has kept that
taste for the music that acts both on the ass and on the soul ...
with a slight preference for the first.

Hearing, by chance, a certain "Fix Me" by Farley Jackmaster Funk,
he was revealed the connections between black music of the origins
and todays house music which is, according to him, potentially as
suggestive, ambiguous and positively nasty as the music of Al
Green, Marvin Gaye or Curtis Mayfield. In its recent evolution,
house music tends to favour commercial formulas and Dan Electro
claims for songs that escape the tyranny of the excessive use of
filters and cheap sound effects to offer more food for dream and
magic. He explores house music in its most intimate aspects,
totally released from its eye-catching twitches.

He has recorded for Rodeo Gay and Superhuit and here drops some
serious sounds for Soulution. The tracks are "I've Got That
Feeling" (our pick and already featured on the Compost Soul Patrol
Radio Show), "Down Is The Power" (the slightly Bugzy one Gilles
Peterson liked) and "Yes That's What I Want Lord" plus the Franck
Roger electro-house remix of "I've Got That Feeling".

Not sure if this was released (maybe some sample clearance issues)
so this is straight off of the promo 12.
