In the music of Forndom, the past breathes with a vitality that
transcends time. “Moþir” is as complex as the deities it portrays,
weaving together themes of fertility and loyalty, love and
betrayal, light and shadow. It is an exploration of divine
ambiguity, where the nurturing embrace of a mother can just as
easily turn into the cold hand of inevitability.
Here, Ludvig Swärd strips away the modern trappings of
synthesisers, embracing a purely acoustic sound. The music feels as
though it has been carved from the very earth, born from
instruments fashioned by hand and played with reverence for the
ancient.
Recorded and mixed by Swärd himself, “Moþir” features the talents
of Thomas von Wachenfeldt (Bards of Skaði), whose violin conjures
both light and darkness; Janne Posti (Häxkapell, Sons of Crom),
whose choral tones add a numinous depth; and Draugurinn, whose
haunting presence lingers like a spirit from a forgotten age.
Forndom’s latest offering is a meditation on the eternal cycle of
life, death, and rebirth, seen through the lens of ancient
Scandinavian spirituality. Ludvig Swärd continues to stand at the
crossroads of the past and present, offering a glimpse into the
heart of ancient wisdom through the eyes of a modern seeker.

Since its birth in 2012 (under the name Heathen Harnow), Forndom
has been a multi-project consisting of art and atmospheres from
the ancient Sudermannia plains, filled with rune stones, mound
hills and dark forests. With the sound of ambient choirs,
folk melodies and lyrical themes consisting of Norse religion
and folklore, the man behind the project, L. Swärd, takes us
on a journey back in time when humanity lived far more close
to nature and its gods. Forndom is more than just a simple art
project. It is also the philosophy of L. Swärd and how he looks
upon the world.

Hi chaps! This is the new retrofuturistic "back to the future"
obso-leet AMOK nfo hybridising oldskool ASCII art and YAML.
This nfo is designed to be both human and machine readable.
We also bring a few more things:
- The filenames are appended with ISRC codes disambiguating common
dupechecking problems like remastered and remixed tracks,
transliteration errors, foreign characters...
- id3 tags include a lot more metadata than average releases,
some to name a few:
- extended genres (extracted from last.fm/bandcamp)
- similar artists
- BPM (also shown in the tracklist above)
- URLS for that release on various websites for listeners to
look for more info and to simplify nukers' jobs checking
releases
The schema_version tag allows that nfo format to evolve and stay
compatible. The current schema will be published in the near
future to make sure all .yml.nfo released will use the same
structure and set of keys.
