toshiyuki goto was one of the first producers to throw his musical
combinations into the hot pot of flower records' musically diverse
stew. when flower records decided to become more dedicated to
exposing their artists through album-based mediums, toshiyuki goto
offered this compilation based on his 'sunday afternoon' parties
at club harlem in tokyo as an idea for a release.
all of the tracks featured are very different in genre but present
the like-minded quality in great music. as any true music fan
knows, great music isn't confined to tempos, genres or styles.
from the ultra rare jazz classic 'maiden voyage' by the harlettes
to the vocal jazz-house jaunts to matthias heilbronn's revision of
'we had a thing' by abstract truth to the electronic abstracities
of lz130's 'matic cx2', it seems like the constant theme of this
compilation is unadulturated musical freedom.
