ambling headlong into album number three, pilote (mr stuart
cullen)has been a busy man following the acclaim of
"doitnowman",his second longplayer for london's certificate 18
label. stuart spent much of 2001 touring the world, entertaining
and bemusing the people with both his live and dj sets; combining
strong melodies with big funky-arsed beats and stupid vocal
samples.
now, with "doitnowman" released by domino in the usa and
"turtle"(from debut album "antenna")all over the freaking tv and
ministry of sound compilations and his other "aliases", the
profile is bigger and the "props are more forthcoming"(?).
some call it "electronica", others "downbeat " or "leftfield",
the man himself even cunningly describesit as "music".either way,
pilote has gained manyfans with his distinctive sound.
currently completing the final touches to his third album and
preparing for gigs in spain, sweden and reading
