| | This single is all about hybrids. The anchor | |
| | on both sides, Klute brings his trademark | |
| | affinity for polished surfaces to bear on | |
| | these contrasting tunes. "No Trust," which | |
| | has received regular support from the likes | |
| | of Trace and Kemal, sees Klute teaming up | |
| | with techno stalwart John Tejada for a tune | |
| | that seamlessly blends the steady crack of a | |
| | tight break and a deep, subterranean bass | |
| | with the frantic, nervous scrawl of a | |
| | mid-range synth arpeggio and staccato | |
| | percussion licks, all grounded in a dark, | |
| | brooding atmosphere. "Seven Seals" sees Klute | |
| | coming to terms with Echo's own brand of | |
| | darkness: exotic, otherworldly samples are | |
| | layered over hard, rolling beats; the | |
| | howl and grate of distressed metal careen | |
| | across the soundscape like shards of | |
| | glass...it's a jagged, heavy affair, not one | |
| | for the faint-hearted. | |
