:: last release, the band has finally released their second album. ::

:: Danilo Coimbra, who is also part of the legendary band from the ::
:: land of no salvation, Headhunter DC, has assembled a dream team ::
:: that lives and breathes death metal, which is the demons: Fßbio ::
:: Brayner, on vocals and who was part of the bands: As The ::
:: Shadows Fall, Hellspawn, Sanctifier and Decomposed. And Brayner ::
:: hasnÆt lost his malice and fury. He has already recorded a ::
:: national death metal classic, a perfect album ôAwaken by ::
:: Impurity Ritesö from 2004, with Sanctifier. ::

:: And on this album he continues to roar and spit at mad society ::

:: furious and violent death metal. A record to listen to at godÆs ::
:: funeral or to exorcise posers and Christians, mercilessly! ::

:: The play opens with the intro ôPrelude To The Apocalypseö and ::
:: the name fits perfectly with what comes before the end of ::
:: everything! With this album, DIVINE PAIN has really come to ::
:: destroy all the hypocrisy and dogmas created in this world. ::
:: This album is the soundtrack to the prelude to the apocalypse ::
:: and the final judgment! ::

:: ThereÆs no way I can quote track by track, the review would be ::
:: too long and IÆd lack words and adjectives to transcribe this ::
:: great work. Just by uniting these demons and their stories ::
:: within the Brazilian underground, we already know that they ::
:: went into the studio and recorded a very well executed and ::
:: recorded material. With great production. Guitars with perfect ::
:: bases and solos! In fact, DaniloÆs solos are full of melodies, ::
:: technique and aggression. RodrigoÆs bass is heavy and ::
:: consistent. And Daniel BeansÆ drums sound powerful, fast, ::
:: deadly and destructive! And FabioÆs vocals are grotesque, ::
:: cavernous and frightening. ::
:: ::
:: As IÆve already said: ôDestructive Measuresö has no bad tracks, ::
:: itÆs killer death metal. With powerful riffs, heavy drums, ::
:: machine-gun drums and insane vocals, but if I were to name my ::
:: favorite tracks, they would be: ôThe GodÆs Funeralö, which has ::
:: a powerful riff and straightforward drums. It reminded me of ::
:: Headhunter DC in the instrumental and even BraynerÆs vocals ::
:: reminded me of SΘrgio Ballof in some parts. Other tracks I ::
:: really liked are: ôGospels Of Damnationö, ôDeus Mortuus Estö ::
:: and ôA Path Into The Voidö. A lesson in death metal with ::
:: powerful sounding guitars, riffs and more riffs with fury and ::
:: well-crafted, destructive drums. ::
:: ::
:: I love doom metal and the last track ôA Path Into The Voidö is ::
:: a dragging, taciturn, melancholy and cold doom. Mr. BraynerÆs ::
:: ability to interpret every phrase, every note in such a ::
:: profound way that it takes us into a dark and empty abyss is ::
:: incredible. As IÆve already said and IÆll say it again: the ::
:: whole album is a masterpiece! All the tracks are on the same ::
:: level, but ôA Path Into The Voidö is the highlight of this ::
:: work. Closing the coffin lid and finalizing GodÆs funeral and ::
:: kicking the asses of Christians and posers! ::

:: Even before the album was released, DIVINE PAIN had a line-up ::
:: change with two new members: Luiz Magrπo, from Convulsive, from ::
:: Cuiabß, who took over the bass these days, and Iaτanπ, a ::
:: legendary drummer from Bahia who played for Headhunter DC and ::
:: Thrash Massacre, on drums. ::

:: A masterpiece needs to have good taste in everything! Of ::
:: course, the music is the most important part when it comes to a ::
:: band and a physical release, right? In this regard, the guys ::
:: called in the master Alcides Burn to create the artwork/layout ::
:: and he did a great job. Fucking cover art! I liked the colors! ::

:: The production was very well produced and powerful. Mixed & ::
:: mastered by Vicente Fonseca at Preto Studio in Salvador (BA). ::
:: The band today has members who live in other states, for ::
:: example: Rodrigo recorded his drums in a studio in Belo ::
:: Horizonte, (MG) Danilo the guitars, in Salvador and also ::
:: programmed the drums in partnership with Daniel Falcπo. FßbioÆs ::
:: vocals were recorded at Est·dio Mercearia in Brasφlia (DF) ::
:: under the care of Carlinhos Silva, and even though they went ::
:: through several studios and recorded separately, the end result ::
:: was perfect. Things of the contemporary world and technology. ::

:: And to add to this demonic congregation, SΘrgio Ballof, lead ::
