| | Hardcore is back in a BIG way, and a lot of | |
| | the thanks has to go to DJ Luna C, for | |
| | revitalizing the breakbeat in hardcore, for | |
| | keeping the happy from being too cheesy, and | |
| | for producing wicked track after wicked track | |
| | -- for ten years now. This album, "Project | |
| | X (11 Reasons Why)", is the tenth in a long | |
| | line of Luna C Projects, the first one being | |
| | released 10 years ago in October of 1992. He | |
| | revisits that in detail on track E2, with an | |
| | update of "Edge Of Madness" for 2002. Also | |
| | revisited is the fourth Luna C project, in | |
| | "Piano Progression X" (watch out for Trent | |
| | Reznor flailing about on it, though). And | |
| | for those of you who don't know, you can | |
| | quickly get up to speed at the very beginning | |
| | of "Introducing...", as there's short | |
| | snippets of each of the previous releases. | |
| | Also, be sure to have fun playing "spot the | |
| | sample", as this album has more than its fair | |
| | share of familiar vocal snippets and whatnot | |
| | in it... with my personal favorite being in | |
| | "Expander". | |
| | | |
