| | From the world's foremost label specializing | |
| | in newskool tracks in an oldskool style, KFA | |
| | (Kniteforce Again), comes their latest | |
| | offering, a three-tracker of tunes courtesy | |
| | of label owner Luna C's friends from all | |
| | around the world. Nevis-T hails from the UK, | |
| | while Unsubdued is one of the German crew, | |
| | and DJ Evil is a well-recognized name in the | |
| | Japanese hardcore scene. The first track, | |
| | Nevis-T's "Spoons Under Error", was | |
| | consciously done in an style evocative of the | |
| | old Phuture Assassins sound. The flipside | |
| | kicks off with "Reachin' Out", an absolute | |
| | blinder of a tune, the closest thing to a | |
| | '93 style jungle tekno tune that the KFA | |
| | label has seen yet with some great ragga | |
| | style vocals. Finally, DJ Evil closes things | |
| | out with "Sweet", a happy stomper from '95 | |
| | circa 2K2. All around an excellent EP. | |
| | | |
| | Sample spotters, take note: The opening and | |
| | closing vocal samples are from the English | |
| | version of anime cult favorite "Ghost In The | |
| | Shell", and the closing "We interrupt this | |
| | program to bring you loud static" on | |
| | "Reachin' Out" is from none other than South | |
| | Park. Cheeky fuckers, the lot of them. | |
| | | |
| | As with all KFA releases, these can be had | |
| | from http://www.i-tunes.co.uk, but beware as | |
| | they're strictly limited editions and once | |
| | they're gone, that's it! So if you enjoy | |
| | this tune, buy it before it disappears | |
| | forever. | |
