This re-release was done to coincide with The Saint movie with Six
Underground being featured on the soundtrack. A year before the track was
called 6 Underground and Sneaker Pimps were an odditty garnering attention
because of the involvment of such musical svengali as Nelle Hooper and
Marius de Vries. The vocals are by one Kelli Ali and little did we know...
This probably reamins one of their cult classics along the lines of Spin
Spin Sugar and Post Modern Sleaze. The track itself is perfect for moody
soundtrack moments and the remixes on this particular version complement
it very nicely, particulary remixes by Warner & Benlow (who were also
involved in Save Ferris and Jewel productions) and of course Richard H Kirk
who is better known as member of Cabaret Voltaire. Personally, I think the
Umbrellas Of Ladywell mixes are outstanding given their sombre and ethereal
beauty with a certain sinister fairy-tale spin.
