| | Our first EP celebrating our 5th year | |
| | running! We wanted to feature the crew as | |
| | well as some of our favorite remixers so from | |
| | what we feel, this EP fully represents 'the | |
| | sound' of Skunkrock at the moment: varied, | |
| | uplifting, and totally dancefloor. All 4 | |
| | tracks on the EP have been played from a | |
| | variety of high profile DJs including: Roni | |
| | Size, Fabio, Hype, DJ Storm, Zinc, Bailey, | |
| | A-Sides, Peshay, Sage, Calibre, Marcus | |
| | Intalex and more! | |

| | A: Beta 2 - Kinetix (Calibre Remix) | |
| | Beta 2 has been building up a name for | |
| | himself over the last year or 2 with releases | |
| | on labels such as CIA, Function, and | |
| | Reinforced. The original version of "Kinetix" | |
| | blew us away and Calibre adds a funky rolled | |
| | out bouncy b-line and some chunky breaks to | |
| | an already amazing original. All sorts of | |
| | heads are playing this one, including Fabio | |
| | and Roni Size. | |
| | | |
| | B: Zero Tolerance - Serpico | |
| | Along with fellow Dubliner Beta 2, Zero | |
| | Tolerance has been developing into one of the | |
| | new breed to watch this year. Check for his | |
| | other releases on the R was well as Comercial | |
| | Suicide and Subtitles. (And of course | |
| | Bassbin!) "Serpico" features ultra chunky old | |
| | style breaks and chopped up male vocals | |
| | (boom-shak!) alongside an ethereal female | |
| | singing voice.A phat b-line and the off | |
| | samples are juxtaposed into a fresh yet | |
| | familiar style which gets the rewind | |
| | everytime. Fun to mix! | |

| | C: Alley Cat & Savine - Captive (A-Sides | |
| | Remix) | |
| | The original "Captive" got props here and | |
| | there for using cool samples and for being | |
| | something different fom the norm. We brought | |
| | A-Sides in to add that extra bad-ass kick to | |
| | give "Captive" a boost to the next level. | |
| | Check the female vocal and house strings and | |
| | watch A-Sides tweak out the | |
| | steel-drum-bongo-style snippets and make them | |
| | dark and naughty and abstract. Throw in an | |
| | amen and some ball busting bass and you've | |
| | got one of the phattest tunes ever. Everyone | |
| | from Hype to Bailey is playing this one...... | |
| | | |
| | D: Native Minds - Feels So Good | |
| | Fabio seems to have taken this track under | |
| | his wing, playing it on Radio One on numerous | |
| | occasions and even at the World of | |
| | Drum'n'Bass at this year's WMC. Not bad play | |
| | for a couple of up-and-coming producers! | |
| | Native Minds offer a rolling energetic break, | |
| | a female vocal, happy synths and strings and | |
| | a deep bassline to get you in a funky mood | |
| | and on the dancefloor. The most forward | |
| | moving and evolved Native Minds tune thus | |
| | far. Keep an eye on these two and their own | |
| | imprint, Offline Recordings (Nu-Urban Music). | |
