Biography:
Mephisto Odyssey was formed by San Francisco bay area musicians / producers /
sound engineers Mikael Johnston and Orpheos Dejournette in 1993. While signed to
Warner Brothers they frequently collaborated with their long time friend Barrie
Eves, as well as other artists sharing Warner's roster. Orpheos Dejournette is
currently working on a solo project, also with diggitydope Records
Mikael Johnston:
Mikael Johnston's audio engineering and production skills earned him the
reputation of being "pivotal in defining the nascent San Francisco house sound"
(SF Weekly Sept 6, 2000). Before venturing into electronic music with
collaborator Orpheos Dejournette, he got his start within the rock and new wave
scenes of the 80's. He continues to work as a professional audio engineer as
well as a producer, songwriter, and performer.
Josh Camacho:
Josh Camacho has been involved in electronic music since 1995, and a part of
Mephisto Odyssey since 1998. Over the last ten years Josh has honed his
production and DJing skills and performed all over the country, including spots
at The Tunnel (NYC), Limelight (NYC), Crowbar (Chicago), Burning Man, and Cool
World (San Jose).
