  SCENE NOTES:
  ~~~~~~~~~~~
  FLT once again proved its incredible lameness by doing a complete dupe of the
  "ISONEWS" release of Madden 2002.  While there are rumors all around that we
  at Razor 1911 somehow had our hands in this whole mess, we can assure you,
  those rumors are patently false.  Just because we don't like ISONEWS doesn't
  mean that we're going to waste a perfectly good release on those morons.
  As for FLT, they claim to have proof that some major scene group was involved
  in this whole debacle, although they're not men enough to put their money
  where their mouths are and name names.  Already they have told us at Razor
  that they know we weren't responsible - that doesn't leave too many other
  possibilities so use your imagination.  However, their claims are completely
  baseless.  While it is possible that the original was downloaded from a FLT
  private dir, this is certainly not proveable, and the cracks from the ISONEWS
  and FLT releases are not even remotely similar.  It is quite clear that the
  crack is in no way shape or form stolen, seeing as the two cracks are entirely
  different.  FLT however ignores this and is very good at pointing fingers ..
  We'd also like to point out that if the original for the game was in fact
  stolen from FLT's private dumps, it is only FLT's fault and not that of the
  group who "stole" it.  Taking advantage of the competition's security or lack
  thereof has been acceptable since time immemorial.  If Razor had the chance
  to sneak a game off of a FLT shell we'd do it without hesitation - and make
  no mistake, regardless of all the spin control that FLT likes to toss out,
  they would do the same. Of course, we'd re-crack it, as that has always been
  the way of things (after all we are CRACKING groups), but as we mentioned
  above, whoever "stole" this game did indeed crack it himself.  Hell, in 1992
  we had a supplier who would download games from THG's private conference on
  The PITS, upload them to Razor boards and we'd crack and release them.  If
  a group is stupid enough to have lax security policies, they don't really
  deserve to win.
  Which of course brings up another point.  FLT has presented not one shred of
  proof (as usual) that this release is in fact stolen.  Filled with the usual
  "FLT 0wnz0rZ, we R l33t" arrogance that seems to permeate every member of
  that group, FLT has simply decided to tell us all that the game was stolen,
  and everybody is just trusting them at their word.  While we don't claim that
  the game was NOT stolen, we do not claim to know for sure one way or the
  other - and isn't a claim backed up with NO FACTS not quite enough to force
  the nuking and subsequent duping of a working game?  Not if you are a FLT
  member where getting the vaunted 500th release (which of course Deviance
  surpassed long ago without any fanfare, because they don't have a penchant
  for blowing their own horn like the guys at FLT seem to) matters above all
  else, even if it means making a complete ass of yourself in an nfo that
  essentially announces that 500th release as a complete dupe and therefore
  nuke-worthy.
  You might be wondering why Razor is involving itself in this mess now.  It
  is quite simple really.  FLT is not about to go and fess up to their misdeeds.
  They never do - here is a group who in the last year or so has pulled more
  sleaze out from under their sleeves than we've seen in ages, yet they always
  seem to come out smelling like a rose.  We don't like it, and nobody else in
  the scene should either.  Whenever the FLT douche bags get away with murder,
  it pisses us off and we're not going to sit idly by and tolerate it.  Perhaps
  a year ago when Razor was sucking it up all the time, FLT could have just
  slapped us down again, but now that Razor is a force in the scene there's no
  reason for us to sit and watch while injustices are perpetrated.  There is an
  honor code in the scene and until FLT deigns to live up to it we will lambast
  them at every turn.
