One of two CDMs produced containing 1995 remixes of this monster 1983
club classic.
The CD opens with the incredible Hardfloor remix which merges New
Order's bassline, riffs and vocals with the trademark 303 Hardfloor
sound that worked so well in their other remixes from this era (such as
More Kante's Yeke Yeke). Watch out for the acidic build up...
The early parts of Jam & Spoon's Manuella Mix are very reminiscent of
their famous remix of Age of Love. However, the track soon loses the
feel of the original track.
Jam & Spoon's Andrea Mix is a nice dubby yet vocal piece, containing a
few familiar samples to remind us that this actually is a remix.
The Plutone Mix is exactly the sort of track that Tony de Vit would have
spun all those years ago and true to this, therefore it sounds dated by
today's standards.
Personally, I'd stick with the Original and Hardfloor mixes both of
which still go down a treat with the right audience.
