This compilation of Compo company owned Apex records focuses on the period
between 1960 - 1962, the immediate pre-Beatles era when US pop was both
varied and entertaining. Some of the artists on this compilation had
reached the Apex of popularity by the the time they recorded their
contribution, while others still had to reach their peak: together, they
make an entertaining slice of early-sixties listening.
