in the last few years there has been an explosion of different
approaches to using electronics in music,many diffrent people with
different approaches have finally had ability to bring them to
life.the maju record is a meeting place of many ideas,succesfully
integrating the many different strains of electronic music which
have passed their way onto disc in the last few years.the hyper
programming of jungle comfortably cohabits with the skipping
digital sounds of oval or nobukazu takemura,the filteredresonance
of the koln scene,the tactile sounds of mego,and the melodic
electronics of aphex twin,where many have taken these influence
and produced something that is only a mirror,maju has internalized
all of the sound floating around,and found a personal and unique
way to come to a conclusion.
