Featuring French underground titans BST (Order of Apollyon, VI,
Sotherion) on drums and production, and MkM (Antaeus, Aosoth,
Destruction Ritual) on guest vocals, Acts of Blood emerges as a
malevolent force-both a reinvention and a reaffirmation of FERMENTO's
cult status in the extreme metal underground.
Fermento are an institution of brutal death metal, formed in 1991 in
Madrid when there were actually no death metal bands in Spain yet, only
thrash ones.
At long last, Fermento are set to release their fourth album, Acts of
Blood, marking a bold evolution in their musical direction. This new
chapter introduces powerful elements of black metal-featuring dark,
dissonant riffs woven with bursts of unrelenting fury-all delivered with
a cutting-edge sound reminiscent of the black metal scene, thanks to its
low tuning and deep, resonant tones. Of especial note is the presence of
two French luminaries, BST (Order of Apollyon, Sotherion, VI) on drums
and production and MkM (Antaeus, Aosoth, Destruction Ritual) on guest
vocals, further cementing Fermento as a cult act and one with extremely
deep ties to the old underground. Breaking away from their previous
work, Acts of Blood redefines Fermento as a revitalized force-fresh,
fearless, and ready to dominate the scene.
