"HOUSE EMOTIONS" wants to be a following in the evolution started
with Next Tribes and the beginning of a new collection of quality
house music focused on the state of the international scene plus
three trax from the Soundplant stable.
From the jazzy-psychedelic vibe of the opening trumpet of Nigel
Hayes "Que Pasa", we pass to the rightly named "Voodance" one of
the track that burned dancefloors last summer to enter the deep
evolving groove of Universal Agents (a.k.a G-Pal and Hollis P
Monroe) and Miguel "Migs" remix of french deep masters Playin For
The City. The vocals and Rhodes chords of the intro to Rollercone's
"When You Left" give some breathing to the mix before you get back
to argentinian through Paris Ciudad Feliz's perfect groove and
catchy bassline which is the perfect launch pad to Boogie Drama's
(Lele Sacchi and engineer Goody's own project) devastating "Hypno
Funk", by many hailed already as one of the highlights of the
compilation.
Faceball 2000 is the alter-ego of parisian master I:Cube which
creates here an undervalued bomb of old school electro house which
opens up the toughest part of the CD with the relentless ultra-funk
of Unlikely Lads on respected Leeds label 20-20 Vision and the
train of tribal beats of the much talked first release on
Soundplant, Polo Project's "Oceano Tribale".
The final goes back to real deep house of Undercover Agency (a.k.a.
JT Donaldson and Lance Desardi) and second Soundplant release
tribute to the real sound of Harley&Muscle's "Deep Roots".
